For iOS users, media/music enjoyment in iTunes is common. But since the limited supported formats of iTunes, sometimes you have to convert the audio to iTunes compatible format before you listen to the music in iTunes:
“Hi all. I have some music that are .FLAC files and want to know what file type I should convert it to so that it stays the same, lossless quality and compatible with iTunes/iPhone.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)”
FLAC format with the competitive features of providing marvelous audio quality as well as much smaller file size is well received among audiophiles. However, though FLAC is open-source and royalty-free format, it is not a compatible audio format with iTunes and with all Apple devices. So if you want to play your music in FLAC in iTunes, you have to convert the FLAC to iTunes supported MP3, AAC, AIFF, WAV, Audible .aa files.
Pavtube iMedia Converter for Mac is a professional FLAC to iTunes Converter with original audio quality and fast conversion speed. It can convert FLAC to iTunes and won’t loss quality by outputting Apple’s own lossless audio format, ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec). If you care more about file size than audio quality, it also can convert FLAC to a more common format like MP3 to gain more compression rate and smaller file size. No matter you convert FLAC to ALAC or FLAC to MP3, all meta data (title, composer, etc.) include album cover art will be kept. It can be run in the MacBook Pro in Yosemite system. Actually, it has updated to support the newest Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan system.
